The arising reports suggested that not all seems well between the Shiv Sena and the Congress Party in the three-party Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition government of Maharashtra due to causing ideological differences. Shiv Sena MLA Sarnaik has written a letter to the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackrey to make his way again towards BJP and join the NDA. Pratap Sarnaik wrote, "I believe it will be better if you (Uddhav Thackrey) get closer to PM Modi...if we come together once again, it will be beneficial for the party and workers,"
Sarnaik wrote in the letter that Congress and NCP are planning a conspiracy against the Shiv Sena over making their coalition government weaker with the external support of the Centre, as there is a Central agency behind any of the NCP leaders.

Pratap Sarnaik was accused under the Money laundering case, quoting that incident he said in the letter that Central agencies are critically targeting us under no faults if we are with NDA and PM Modi that would be better for the rest of our leaders who are also targeted by the Central Agencies including Ravindra Waikar, Anil Parab, Pratap Sarnaik. He further stated that BJP is currently harassing the Shiv Sena leaders through Central agencies by leaving other parties.
Meanwhile, the INC declared that they are going to fight the next upcoming elections in Maharashtra solely. Congress also stated that in BMC and forthcoming assembly polls are going to contest alone on all seats. On that Shiv Sena mouthpiece, Samana slammed the Congress and said that they are in a stage of overconfidence, and it's elementary to say these type of comments when one doesn't have the power to make government alone. Samana further said that Shiv Sena would continue the coalition with NCP if Congress doesn't want to continue.
Therefore, the letter by Sarnaik directly targeted or ironically accused BJP that they are only targeting the Shiv Sena, not NCP, through Central agency. This situation reflects that BJP plans to go with Sharad Pawar led NCP and make government in Maharashtra.
