"Schools that engage in unethical and biased practices for testing and marking will be punished or disrupted."

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday announced the policy for the introduction of the 10th board exam papers that have been cancelled due to the state of COVID-19 in the country.

According to the policy, 20 marks for each subject will be for internal assessment, 80 marks will be calculated on the basis of student's performance in various tests or examinations throughout the year.

“Schools will also have to ensure that their marks are commensurate with the school's previous performance in the 10th board examinations. Schools will have to establish an eight-member committee headed by the principal to finalize the results, ”said CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj.

"Schools that indulge in unethical and biased practices for testing will need to be punished or disrupted," he added.
