PM Modi on 15 August, Independence Day Celebration announced a Rs 100 lakh crore Pradhan Mantri Gatishakti initiative which will create employment opportunities for the country's youth and help in a holistic infrastructure growth.

Speaking to the nation on the Red Fort fence here on 75th Independence Day, Modi said along with modernization, India also needed to embrace a holistic approach to infrastructure construction.

 

India has exceptional capabilities and the need of hour is to transform its basic infrastructure to harness the exceptional opportunities.

The PM said the Gatishakti-National master plan would be announced in the coming days, highlighting the dream to become a exporting and manufacturing hub.

The initiative of more than Rs 100 lakh crore cratishakti "will create job opportunities for the youth and contribute to the growth of comprehensive infrastructure," he said.

Modi said Gathishakti would help local producers become more competitive globally and improve opportunities for new economic zones in the future.
