The JBM Enviro WTE plant has a generating capacity of 8 MW and can process up to 750 tons of solid waste generated daily from the Sonepat-Panipat collection.

The project was developed by JBM Environment Management with an estimated investment of approximately Rs 200 which includes door-to-door collection of waste, transport, construction, operation and maintenance of the power station.

JBM Enviro had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Haryana to build and operate a power station in 2017.

Nishant Arya, Deputy Chairman, JBM Group in a statement said, "I believe this project will build a new benchmark in India's waste management sector with its state-of-the-art infrastructure, global technology, efficient time and efficiency.

JBM Enviro has been working to collect garbage from house to house in the Sluspat-Panipat cluster for more than three years now and maintains approximately two lakh homes daily in the four towns of Sonepat, Panipat, Gannaur and Samalkha.

About 400 vehicles provide solid municipal waste each day, thus benefiting approximately 12 lakh residents.

JBM Enviro will be collecting more than 7 million tons of waste over the life of the project.
