Rahul Gandhi met Prashant Kishor amid Amrinder Sidhu faceoff

Rahul Gandhi and Prashant Kishor

Political strategist Prasant Kishor met with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at his residence in Delhi on Tuesday, a few days after holding talks with Sharad Pawar of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and KC Venugopal were also present at the meeting.

The meeting also came as Congress tried to resolve differences within its Punjab branch as CM Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu had been arguing over a number of issues just before next year's general election.

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka met Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu separately in recent weeks. Afterwards, Amarinder Singh met with Congress president Sonia Gandhi earlier this month to resolve a crisis facing the party in the state ahead of next year's general election. Singh said after the meeting they discussed the development of the Punjab and "internal affairs of the party" and that he would follow any decision taken by Gandhi.

Sidhu has been tweeting a few things and on Tuesday he wrote that the opposition Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has always seen his point and is working for the Punjab. Before moving to Congress from the Baratiya Janata Party (BJP), Sidhu also remembered joining the AAP led by Arvind Kejriwal.

Sharad Pawar and Prasant Kishor met for the second time in Delhi in about two weeks on June 21 amid national opposition rivals against the Baratiya Janata Party (BJP) in the run-up to the 2024 general election.

Therefore, this meet between Rahul Gandhi and Prashant Kishor is treated as to resolve the dispute within Punjab Congress arises due to Amrinder Sidhu faceoff. Other political experts also treating this meet as preparation by opposition just before 2024 Lok Sabha General Elections.
