Twitter on Saturday removed the blue tick or a “certified” badge on the handle of Deputy President M.  Naidu's Personal Handle and various other RSS Leaders.

The blue tick has been removed from MvenkaiahNaidu for "inefficiency", the ANI news agency reported. "Venkaiah Naidu's account has been inactive for six months and the blue badge is gone," ANI quoted an official from the Vice President's office as saying.

Twitter is now openly and deliberately trying to challenge the elected governments in India and various countries.

The microblogging site states that the account should represent or be associated with a known person or brand. Verified accounts include those of key government officials and offices, including heads of state, elected officials, ministers, institutional organizations, embassies, and official spokespersons.

"To be eligible, this account must be made public to the official government or site or group or published, or frequently mentioned in the media," Twitter said.

Twitter seems to have double standards across the globe especially for the developing nations, these allegations are common for twitter as several countries accused twitter for the same in last few months.

"You could lose your badge if you change your account name (@handle), if your account is inactive or incomplete, or if you are no longer in the position you were originally designated - as a designated outgoing government official - and you do not meet our verification requirements," Twitter said.
