Sputnik V: Reached to India and will be available in market by next week

Sputnik V a Russian Dr. Reddy’s Vaccine has reached into the Indian Boundaries and will be available in the market by Next week. The Union Health Ministry confirmed that the Sputnik V popularly known as the world’s first vaccine against the Corona-Virus Pandemic will be available in the market across the country by early next week.


The Sputnik V vaccine which is developed by Russia’s Gamaleya National Centre and will be starting its manufacturing in India in Dr. Reddy’s laboratories based in Hyderabad from the month of July this year. The Russian vaccine is empowered with an efficacy rate of around 91.6% as published under the Lancet Medical Journal, the vaccine is accepted and approved in around 50 countries for mass use. The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has earlier signed a deal with India for the allotment of around 750 million doses of the vaccine to India.


Earlier, Sputnik V was given Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) in the month of April amid the monstrous surge in the Covid-19 cases in the country. It will be the third vaccine in India after Covishield (SII and Oxford University Astra-Zeneca) and Covaxin (Bharat Biotech International Limited) based in Pune and Hyderabad respectively.


Therefore, the Indian foreign relations have again shows beneficial results as the vaccine company of Russia allowed India to manufacture the Sputnik V in India. The step is very beneficial for Indians as the Indian people will avail the world’s best-known vaccine and it will also strengthen India’s mission of becoming AtmaNirbhar.
