Nepal Government experiences Turbulence shocks as Oli government loses in a vote of confidence

Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on Monday prorogated the parliament as the government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli lost a vote of confidence by a big margin following the quarrel inside the party.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli manages to secure only 93 votes and lost the trust of vote of confidence in the House of Representatives whereas the 124 votes were secured by the opposition.

  

KP Sharma Oli requires 136 votes out of 275 members to secure the win in the confidence motion. The Nepal Communist Party Maoist Centre led by Prachanda withdrew their support from the Oli-led CPN-UML as a result that the government shifted to the minority one. The special kind of arrangements has been placed by the Nepal parliament for Covid-19 positive members to exercise their vote.


“There is no reason why parliament members should not support me and Vote for me,” said PM KP Sharma Oli in the statement.


Earlier, last year on the recommendation of PM KP Sharma Oli the President Bidhya Devi Bhandari dissolved the Houses on December 20 and announced the fresh elections in the country on April 30 and May 10 this year amid strife in the party.


Therefore, while fighting with a lot of challenges inside and outside due to which the situation of emergency aroused in Nepal. The Oli government fails to handle the Pandemic situations and due to losing friendship with India Nepali people became angry over the Oli government as a result of that lot of rebellious agitation witnessed in Nepal.
