Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Boris Johnson on Tuesday unveiled a 10-year guide for promoting India-UK relations in high-level relations and strengthening cooperation in key areas, including defense, security, trade and health care.
During the conference between Mr. Modi and Mr. Johnson, both sides also announced an improved trade partnership, dubbed "another major ticket announcement" by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
According to a statement from the office of Mr. Johnson, "More than 6,500 job opportunities will be created around the UK due to the $ 1 billion new trade and UK and Indian investment announced by the Prime Minister today." The package contains more than 533 million pounds of India's new investment in the UK, which is expected to create more than 6,000 jobs in key and growing sectors such as health and technology, Downing Street said.

Mr Jaishankar is currently on a four-day trip to the UK to attend a meeting of G7 foreign ministers.
