The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) did a “Dharna Pradarshan” under the leadership of BJP president JP Nadda on May 5 just parallel to the Mamta Banerjee’s oath-taking ceremony. The “Dharna Pradarshan” is constituted by the Bengal BJP against the Post Election Violence in Bengal.
Bengal Violence is triggered from the event when the TMC goons attacked Suvendu Adhikari’s car near Nandigram followed by several BJP offices got gutted by the blaze just after counting ends. While campaigning Mamta Banerjee in her statement said that the CRPF will be going to leave BJP alone in the Bengal and that will be the time when only we (TMC workers) can decide what will happen in the state and chant’s “Khela Hobe”.
However, as per the official figures around 26 BJP workers ( karyakarta’s) and supporters were killed, 5-6 women’s gang-raped whereas a girl namely Saswati Jana a second-year college going student raped and murdered by the Anti-Social’s (allegedly TMC workers). Some of the videos coming from West Bengal also shown that even the police are not cooperating with the victims. The official figure may be censured we don’t know about the ground reality in the state.
The central government and the apex court need to intervene in this matter for the sake of the common public. There is an immense need of setting up of an impartial law and order in the state to ensure the well-being of the population of West Bengal.
Therefore, invincibility in the elections doesn’t give anybody a right to do whatever suits to their self and political interests. The government is elected to work for the people not to neglect them based on their ideology. The kind of situation that arisen in West Bengal is very oppressive.
