Cricket hampered by Coronavirus: Restrictions imposed and Players isolated
The upcoming cricketing season starts with the world’s most famous league IPL (Indian Premier League) where 8 teams begun their race for the trophy which is starting from coming April 9. Last year IPL was held at UAE (United Arab Emirate) in closed doors due to Corona Virus. This time BCCI seems ready to organize it in India as they organized the previous series between India and England. As the Second wave of Corona Virus braves BCCI is preparing for the healthy ecosystem for next 2 months.

 

Players and staff members found Covid Positive:

Rising Covid 19 cases in Maharastra is a big headache for the core members as at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai, 7 staff members found Covid 19 positive. IPL franchise also received several shocks as Royal Challenger Bangalore opener Devdutt Padikal, Delhi Capitals left-arm spinner Axar Patel, a franchise executive, members of event management company were also tested positive just ahead of the tournament. Nitish Rana who was tested positive has been recovered but needs time to be fit to play.

 

BCCI has taken some urgent Steps just before the tournament:

BCCI has taken some crucial steps and issued guidelines in this regard as they said no team will going to play at their home ground. They also added that the RT-PCR tests are made mandatory every day for the staff and the players and the stadiums were also remain empty to ensure the safety of the people. The cricket Board is also thinking to shift the first leg of matches from Mumbai as Mumbai witnessed an alarming rise in the Covid 19 cases.
