On Tuesday and Wednesday, Delhi witnessed a mass level of exodus where the Bus and the Railway stations got flooded by the coming crowd. This type of emergence among migrant laborers clears two things that the migrant laborers are too helpless as they are left with no option for livelihood and other is that the kind of case rise is witnessed in recent days is only due to this type of cavalier behavior by the people cause cases to rise.
While several got success in catching the buses and trains whereas some decided to walk on foot by caring the luggage. Many of the migrants decided to spend the whole night around ISBT in the hope to embark the next day.
Earlier, last year the nationwide lockdown was imposed by PM Narendra Modi when the first wave of Covid-19 marks its presence in India. The migrant workers got tensed those times as they are approaching every step to reach their home town even by giving extra money.
India is currently suffering through the Second Wave of the Pandemic and under these harsh circumstances where the cases and deaths are continuously creating the records as many states are planning to impose lockdown to stop the increasing toll of the cases. Delhi and Jharkhand are the only two regions that imposed the lockdown as the Pandemic becomes disastrous in these two states.
Thus, in these tough times government and the people, both have to cooperate with the conditions and guidelines as the government has to make essential food items available for those who unable to afford and the prime function for the migrant workers is to follow the Covid-19 guidelines.
