Twitter's popularity increased, Union Minister Ravi Shankar's account was also blocked without notice, know what is the whole matter

New Delhi. Twitter, which has said that its rules should be given more importance than the laws of India, is increasing. On Friday, Twitter blocked the Twitter account of the country's Law and Information Technology (IT) Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for an hour. If you restart yourself then with the notice that if any complaint is received again, the account will be blocked forever.

At the same time, Ravi Shankar told Twitter in a strict tone that the law of the country has to be followed. Mirroring Twitter's plea for freedom of expression, the Law Minister said the truth is that Twitter only wants to run its agenda, but it is not possible in India.

Recently, all the Internet media like Facebook, WhatsApp, Google, Instagram have taken steps towards compliance with the IT law of India, but Twitter is reluctant and is not deterring from showing arrogance. On Friday, Ravi Shankar was taken by surprise when he found his Twitter account blocked. The message was that they violated America's Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

After an hour the account was restarted, but it was warned that if any complaint is received again, it will be blocked forever.

In fact, Twitter's warning gave Ravi Shankar the basis for a stern reply and warning. One, Twitter, which is earning money from India, cited US law and showed no interest in obeying Indian law. At the same time, there is a provision under the IT Act that before taking any action, the customer against whom there is a complaint should be informed.

But Twitter has neither given information nor has told so far who made the complaint. Well, Ravi Shankar said, 'In the past, he had given a lesson on different TV channels to such internet media who are not following the law. Those interviews were also shared on Twitter.

Twitter seems to have panicked, that's why arbitrarily blocked my account. He describes himself as a soldier of freedom of expression, but the truth is that he wants to run his agenda through intimidation. He should do whatever he wants to do, but the IT law of the country has to be followed. There can be no compromise with this.

Interestingly, Ravi Shankar's Twitter and Ku accounts were flooded with people who want that action is necessary on Twitter now. Someone said - you are the law minister, teach them the lesson of the law of the country. So the other said - BJP government has entered Pakistan and killed the enemies, then why have mercy on those who refuse the law of the country inside the country?

The parliamentary committee has already warned Twitter

The parliamentary committee has also expressed anger over Twitter's stand and has warned against obeying the law. Sources say that the intermediate status of Twitter has ended. There are some cases going on in the court. In such a situation, some more time is being given, after that action is fixed. Anyway, the number of Twitter account holders is not very much in India.

Shashi Tharoor's account also blocked

A short time after Law Minister Ravi Shankar's Twitter account was blocked, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor also said that he too had to face a similar situation. Tharoor, chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology, said he would seek clarification from Twitter India on the procedure regarding operations in India and the blocking of his and Ravi Shankar's accounts.
