PM Modi urged G7 countries to unite against the Covid-19 Pandemic

PM Narendra Modi during the G7 summit urged the countries to adopt a united approach towards the Covid-19 Pandemic and future coming health emergencies with the introducing the mantra of  “One earth, One health”, amid support for India’s proposal for a waiver of patent protections for Covid-19 vaccines.

PM Narendra Modi noted in particular the responsibilities of democratic and open societies, in order to prevent future Pandemic, as well as likely to be called the worldwide communities, leadership, and solidarity. In the G7 meeting, we will have to send a message to the "One Earth, One Health" he stated. It was being echoed by the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel. 

Modi stressed that India's strategy for fighting the pandemic, which has brought together the efforts of government, business and civil society, are also successfully used in India, with an open-source, digital tools, contact tracing, and vaccine administration. He also said that India is ready to share its experiences and expertise with other developing nations. 

While addressing the G7 about India's commitment to a collective effort to strengthen the global governance of health, For an appeal to the G-7 countries for their support for this proposal, India, china and south Africa, and the World Trade Organization ("WTO") in order to revoke a patent, the protection, the vaccine, and the Covid-19 technology. 

Modi was also invited to the Cornwall summit, by the British Prime minister, Boris Johnson, however, cancelled his visit because of the devastating second wave. On Sunday, he will participate in two more events. 

However, other leaders like Australia PM Scott Morison and French President Emmanuel Macron also supported PM Modi's initiative to go forward.

Therefore, PM Narendra Modi in his virtual speech again coined the term "Vashudhaiva Kutumbakam" indirectly by saying the Mantra of "One Earth, One Health". The main principle that PM Modi came forward to spoke about was the whole world needs to work together to fight the biggest enemy that is Covid-19 Pandemic or future coming health emergencies.
