Trudeau calls killing of Muslim family in Ontario 'terrorist attack'
On Sunday, a 20-year-old American citizen, was driving a black pick-up truck of the five members of a Muslim family, who are waiting to cross at an intersection. The 20-year-old Nathaniel g. Veltman, is charged with four cases of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.
The four members of a family were killed in the attack-a 46-year-old Salman Afzaal, her 44-year-old man, Madiha al-qaeda, and their 15-year-old daughter Yumna Afzaal, and the 74-year-old mother, Afzaal, whose name has not yet been made public. Her 9-year-old is the son of Faiz Afzaal is in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the families of the victims also urged everyone to speak out against the hatred and Islamophobia.
