Dhar, State Bureau. The country now has Asia's first and the world's fifth-longest high-speed auto testing track ready for testing vehicles before they hit the roads.
On Tuesday, Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Prakash Javadekar inaugurated this 11.3 km long track built-in Natrex located in Pithampur of Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh.
Union Minister of State Arjun Ram Meghwal was also present in the program.

In the inaugural program, Union Minister Javadekar expressed hope that due to such facilities, the country will emerge as an automobile hub in the times to come. This is a powerful step towards a self-reliant India.
Natrix High-Speed Track has a length of 11.3 km and a width of 16 m
The Natrix High-Speed Track has a total length of 11.3 km and a width of 16 meters. The track has been designed for a maximum speed of 250 Kmph.
The maximum speed capability of high-end cars can also be tested on this track. These cannot currently be measured on any Indian test track.
The track can also cater to the testing needs of a wide range of vehicles like two-wheelers, three-wheelers, small cars, luxury cars, buses, trucks to the heaviest tractor-trailers.
