India's marvelous jump of 37 places, standing at 10th rank in Global Cyber Security Index

India witnessed a marvellous jump in Global Cybersecurity Index 2020 (GCI), now standing at 10th rank after a splendid jump of 37 places. India became the fourth Asian pacific country to enter into the top 10 of Global Cybersecurity Index 2020 (GCI), which ITU realised (International Telecommunication Union).


"In a big leap, India jumps 37 places to be ranked 10th in Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) 2020 launched by ITU. The country is fourth among Asian-Pacific nations, demonstrated India's success and commitment to cybersecurity," Permanent Mission of India to UN, Geneva, expressed through the tweet on Thursday. 



India has received this affirmation from the UN body before completing the 6th anniversary of the digital India campaign. It has been seen through these parameters that India is continuously emerging as a prominent Global IT superpower by excelling in its digital Sovereignty by successfully safeguarding online rights and data privacy of citizens. 


According to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) rankings, India has recorded itself as the 10th best country by taking a splendid jump. The chart is topped by the US, whereas the UK and Saudi Arabia grab the second spot and Estonia secured third. 

Thus, it certifies that India India has performed well in safeguarding data and ensuring the privacy of common people. Through, Digital India it has been proven that India has touched several milestone developments by making the country self-dependent and empowered in the eyes of the world without sacrificing its Sovereignty.
