AAP member Atishi Marlena on Wednesday said about 100 Covaxin-regulating facilities had been forced to close temporarily as the vaccine stock had run out.

No center in the national capital will be able to provide Covid-19 'Covaxin' for 18-44 years of age due to a lack of stock, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Atishi Marlena said on Wednesday.

"Although the number of vaccination centers has increased dramatically, the stock of Covaxin has completely disappeared, and as a result, about 100 facilities controlling Covaxin have been forced to close temporarily. Therefore, as of Thursday, Delhi will not be able to manage Covaxin in the 18-44 age group, "Barat Biotech has refused to bring any additional doses of Covaxin to Delhi," Atishi said.

"We hope that the central government will intervene in this matter and deliver enough Covaxin containers to Delhi. In the next few days, those who received their first doses will be ready to receive a second dose," he added.

A member of the AAP MLA has announced that for those over the age of 45 and health workers / frontline workers, Covaxin stock has only four days left and Covishield stock 3 days. At the moment, for Covishield, stock nine days left for those in the 18-44 age group.

Atishi said Delhi had received a total of 43,20,490 Covidvaccines for those over the age of 45 and health / primary care workers to date. Of these, 40,00,970 doses have already been used and the remaining 3,19,520 volumes remain in this category.

AAP member also explained that Delhi only receives 1.5 lakh doses of Covaxin and 6,67,690 Covishield doses for the 18-44 age group. With this, the new load arrived Tuesday evening, with 2,67,690 Covishield ratings for those between the ages of 18-44. With this, the total number of vaccines available for the 18-44 age group has now increased to 8,17,000. Of these, 3,82,000 vaccines were used and 4,35,000 containers were left for the next few days.

"We hope that the Center will provide adequate doses of Covaxin and Covishield in the next few days. Delhi is likely to experience the difficulties Covid has been experiencing since the outbreak began. said Atishi.
