Israel has hit Gaza, destroyed a media outlet and claimed it was at war, while Palestinian rockets attacked Tel Aviv on Saturday, marking the end of the war for almost a week.

The death toll is rising from the worst growth since 2014 and the relationship and relationship so far has failed to end it.

The Israeli military has demolished a 12-story building in Gaza City that housed US Associated Press and Qatari Al Jazeera media, as well as other offices and apartments, leaving large piles of broken stone.

Israel had issued a warning in advance of the strike to be removed and said the building was later occupied by Hamas military forces, the Islamist group that controls Gaza.

The United States has told Israel "that ensuring the safety and security of independent journalists and journalists is a major undertaking," White House press secretary Jen Psaki said.

Palestinians say at least 139 people, including 39 children, have been killed in Gaza since the clashes erupted on Monday.

Israel has reported 10 deaths, including two children.

In Tel Aviv, residents fled the shelter amid warnings as Hamas troops fired a rocket fence. Another crashed into a residence in Ramat Gan, killing a 50-year-old man, medical officials said.

The group said the salvoo had responded to night strikes at a Gaza refugee camp, in which a woman and her four children were killed when her house was hit. Five others died, medical officials said. Israel said it was referring to an apartment used by Hamas.

Hamas began the offensive on Monday after tensions over a court evacuation of many Palestinian families in East Jerusalem and the retaliation by Israeli and Palestinian police forces near the town of al-Aqsa Mosque, the third most holy place in Islam.

A bomb blast in Israel has sent columns of smoke above Gaza City and illuminated the night sky enclave.

Akram Farouq, 36, left his home for the night with his family after a neighbor told him they had received a call from an Israeli employee saying their building would be smashed - a common form of attack on what Israel saw as military bases.

"We didn't sleep all night because of the explosion, and now I'm off the street with my wife and children, crying and shivering," Farouq said.

The living conditions of Gaza's 2 million people are worsening, with families earning only four hours a day on a daily basis instead of the usual 12, Palestinian officials said.

The Israelites have learned to draw attention to themselves at any time of the day or night. In the Israeli coastal town of Ashdod, Mark Reidman is considering damage to his apartment building from a rocket hit.

"We want to live in peace and quiet," said the 36-year-old, adding that he should try to explain to his three children what had happened, and why.

TESTS

Regional and international consultative efforts have not shown any signs of stopping hostilities.

US President Joe Biden's envoy Hady Amr, deputy vice-secretary of Israeli-Palestinian Affairs, arrived in Israel on Friday, ahead of a UN summit on Sunday. The U.S. embassy said in a statement that the ambassador was seeking to "strengthen the need for sustainable development".

Egypt, which joins the border with Gaza and has led the country's negotiating efforts, has been demanding that the talks be called off to begin negotiations, Egyptian security sources said on Friday.

There have been protests in support of Palestinians in the Middle East, Europe and Australia. In France, police used tear gas and a water canister to disperse protesters who were protesting against a ban in Paris on Saturday, but authorized protests were held elsewhere. Hundreds were found in Madrid.

In Israel, the conflict was accompanied by violence between the mixed Jewish and Arab world. Synagogues were raided, Arab-owned shops were vandalized, and street fighting broke out. Israel's president, who plays a key role in the war, has warned of a civil war.

Palestinians, every year on May 15 celebrating "Nakba" or Catastrophe Day, their exodus from the 1948 to 49 war that coincided with the construction of the present state of Israel, clashed with police across the West Bank on Saturday.

Medics reported that 29 Palestinians were injured, 17 of them in a live fire. Earlier, health officials reported that 11 people had been killed on Friday in the West Bank.

The conflict adds to Israel's divisive political climate. It has been instrumental in the efforts of opposition parties to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which the incumbent of the liberation movement disrupted coalition talks following the violence. This could mean that the Israelites are facing a fifth election in just over two years.

Israel said on Saturday about 2,300 rockets had been fired from Gaza in Israel since Monday, with about 1,000 being detained by missiles and 380 crashing into the Gaza Strip.
