On Saturday, the Congress leader started a medical advisory helpline aimed at helping people struggling with Covid-19."India needs to stand together and help our people. We have launched 'Hello Doctor' a medical advisory helpline. Please call +919983836838 for medical advice," Gandhi said on Twitter while launching the doctor helpline.

He appealed to doctors to enroll themselves to help people during the epidemic, to which he attached a Google Form link to the self-initiated entries.

Dear doctors and mental health professionals. We need your help, please enroll on the link. He added

Doctors have been provided with two options-''Covid Counseling'' and ''Mental Health Counseling'' so that they can enroll themselves.

Srinivas Biwi, president of the youth wing of the Congress, said that those recovered from Covid-19 can register themselves with the helpline and donate plasmas and added that this is India's first history that "instead of the government, It is the opposition that is reaching the people. The helpline will soon be connected to the Congress support centers being set up at party headquarters and state offices, which will help people in need of plasma.

The Congress party says that we do not need any credit to serve the people. It is written in our heritage how and when we should serve the people.

Congress Secretary Pranab Jha said that the identity of any government can help its people when needed.  Whether they are their supporters or opponents.

He said that people need help "Congress party frontline activists, youth leaders, are taking over their social media handles."
