The company's intelligence program Remdesivir, the main drug used to treat Covid-19 patients, has been rolled out to regional and union areas, the Central government has announced.
"The Remdesivir program provided by the company from April 21 to May 16 has been provided to the provinces / UTs," reads the official statement.
"The plan has been revised in consultation with marketing companies. Companies have been instructed to ensure timely delivery to all provinces / UTs in terms of supply chain," the statement said.
This development comes in the wake of Remdesivir's provincial / UTs distribution on Friday.
On May 7, the Minister of Chemical and Fertilizers' Union, DV Sadananda Gowda, announced that the distribution of Remdesivir drums in the provinces had been made on May 16 following the Covid-19 epidemic.
"Given the need for Remdesivir in all provinces and to ensure its adequate availability, the distribution of Remdesivir has been done until 16 May 2021," Gowda tweeted.
