Patna: With the aim of assisting the medical staff involved in treating COVID-19 infected people, a young engineering student from the city has developed a "robot" that assists in basic screening of patients.
Akanksha, a 20-year-old engineering student, told ANI, "A variety of drugs are being used to fight coronaviruses.
Also during this period people are being given vaccinations of Covid in hospitals. However, I think That is the lack of a large number of doctors and hospital workers in the country and the state. "
The young student said she developed a "medi-robot" to help doctors and medical doctors with the help of her father.
Akanksha said, "With my father Yogesh Kumar we developed this" medi-robot "and hope it can save the lives of many doctors and medical staff."
The robot performs a basic medical examination of an infected patient and based on real-time data.
Also with the help of this robot, the amount of glucose in the blood, the amount of oxygen in the blood, heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, ECG etc. can be checked with the help of wireless stethoscope.
Akanksha said, "The basic function of the robot is to deliver medicine, food, water, nebulizer and oxygen etc. to the infected person."He said that the robot can rotate up to 360 degrees using a high-resolution vision camera mounted on it.
He elaborated that a "medi-robot" could monitor the hospital; Communication via video conferencing between the doctor and the patient (using a high-resolution camera).
The robot can also help in video conferencing at public places such as railway stations, bus stands, offices, etc. using a unique QR code. With the help of this technique, doctors can also issue e-prescription to patients in home isolation.
Akanksha has been selected for the final round of the Vishwakarma Award for the students of the All India Technical Education Campus under the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India.
Cabinet Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has also praised the invention and assured all possible help.
