What's Allowed and What's Not for Next 6 Days: Covid-19 Lockdown in Delhi

 The following are details of what will be allowed during the Lockdown in Delhi from 10:00 pm to 5am on April 26, 2021:

1. Who are set free?


  • Officials of the Government of India, private or subordinate offices and PSUs, in the production of a valid I-card and in accordance with the limits set by the Government of India.
  • Delhi government offices, private bodies, companies will remain closed except for those involved in essential and emergency services such as Health and Family Welfare and all related medical facilities.
  • Police, prisons, home security, public safety, fire and emergency services, district administrators, payers and account offices, services, GAD, electricity, water and sanitation, public transport (air, rail, delhi metro, utilization) including emergency services or activities that are important to the proper functioning of all modes of public transport (such as asset management, ticket, airport, CFS ICD etc.), Disaster Management and related services, NIC, NCC and Municipal services, and all other services important.
  • All judicial officers, staff working in all Delhi courts to produce a valid I-card, service ID card, photo insertion transfer permits issued by court officials.
  • All independent medical personnel such as doctors, nurses, paramedics, etc., and other hospital services (such as hospitals, diagnostic centers, testing laboratories, clinics, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, oxygen providers and other medical and health services including medical services / services such as equipment) and use, sanitation, safety) in the production of an official Card.
  • Pregnant women and patients receiving health services and staff, in the production of an official I-card, a doctor's note, medical papers.
  • People who will be tested for COVID-19 or vaccine, in production of  working Idcard
  • People from or to airports, train stations / SBTs are allowed to travel with the production of a valid ticket.
  • Officials / officials working in Diplomats' offices in various countries and persons in charge of any constitutional mandate in producing an official I-card.
  • Electronic media and printing  or PRESS on official I-card production.
  • Students will be allowed to appear in the validity test for the production of a valid card. Employees who inspect the test activities will be allowed to leave when producing a valid I-card.
  • Movement of people at wedding ceremonies up to 50 people (for producing soft or hard copies of the wedding card) and funerals / ceremonies related to up to 20 people continue to be allowed.


2. Who will need an e-pass?


  • - Movement of persons related to the commercial and private offices providing the following services and goods will only be allowed:
  • Grocery stores, groceries, fruits and vegetables, dairy and milk stalls, meat and fish, animal fodder, medicine, ophthalmologists, medicines and medical supplies, distribution of newsletters.
  • Banks, Insurance offices and ATMs, SEBI / Shares related offices
  • Telecommunications, Internet services, broadcasting and Cable services, IT and IT enabled services
  • Delivery of all essential goods including food, medicine, medical equipment via e-commerce.
  • Petrol pumps, LPG, CNG, petrol and gas stations and shops. Water supply, power generation, transmission and distribution units and services.
  • Cold storage and storage facilities.
  • Private security services. Production units of essentials.
  • Production units for non-essential personnel working on site Production units or services, which require an ongoing process
  • Delivery of food in the form of home delivery, removed by restaurants or restaurants.
  • Religious places will be allowed to open, but no visitors will be allowed.


3. Transportation at the home of those in the exempted categories, by e-pass:

Public transport such as Delhi Metro and public buses will operate at 50 pc seats

Cars, e-rickshaws, taxis, minibuses, gramin sewa and phat phat sewa will be allowed to accommodate up to two passengers.

Maxi cabs will be allowed for up to 5 passengers

RTV (up to 11 passengers) will be allowed to operate

4. There will be no restrictions on the transportation of important goods between countries and countries. No special permit or e-pass will be required for such travel.

5. What will be completely closed?


a) Apart from the above exempted movement and permitted activities, all other private offices selling shops, supermarkets, weekly markets, production units, educational and training institutions, theaters and bars, halls, conference halls, amusement parks, amusement parks and gardens sports facilities, gyms, spas, barbershops, saloons, beauty parlors, swimming pools (apart from being used to train athletes to participate in national and international events), construction activities (except where the employee resides) will remain closed during home placement.

b) All social, political, religious and cultural activities related to other gatherings and churches shall be prohibited.

c) Stadia will be allowed to open a national sports conference without spectators.
