UK
Prime Minister Boris Johnson cancels his visit to India as the second wave of
the Pandemic in India seems to be at its peak. He was scheduled to come to
India on 25-26 April. Ministry of External Affairs confirms that the British PM
will not visit and the talk will be held through the virtual meeting.
English
PM Boris Johnson and Indian PM Narendra Modi are going to conduct a virtual
meeting to discuss the plans for strengthening the India-UK relations. Boris
Johnson promised Indian PM that they will conduct a meet before the G7 summit.
Indian PM Narendra Modi is also invited to the G7 summit.
Labor
Party (opposition party in the UK) is creating pressure on the UK PM to make a
bilateral talk with India through virtual means as the conditions are not that
much suitable to visit India.
Earlier
PM Boris Johnson was invited to India as a Chief Guest of the Republic Day
parade but due to a surge of Covid-19 cases in the UK, he had to cancel the
visit, and now this is the second time when UK PM’s visit to India canceled due
to Covid-19 surge. Both the countries are strengthening the relations as the
relations will help both the countries in reinvigorating their influence in
different regions.
Thus,
this coming meet is very important for both sides as their meet will increase
the influence of both the countries in a different region. India-UK relations
are very essential as the wide trade between both the countries is likely to
happen which will strengthen the India power in European Union.
It
is also very essential in China’s view as India is increasing their number of
friends in the world, as a result, it will become hard for China in the future
to the furor on the boundaries.
