UP Police takes Custody of Gangster MLA Mukhtar Ansari, Wife Moved SC Seeking the Safety of MLA

Gangster MLA Mukhtar Ansari and several others UP police personnel left the Rupanagar jail, Punjab to take him to UP jail based in Banda. The route is around 900 km long and takes around 15 hours to reach the destination. Gangster turned Politician is charged for around 40 cases in the state. 

 

UP government had filed a writ petition under Article 32 of the Constitution seeking Ansari’s transfer to Banda jail based in UP, on that petition Supreme Court orders Punjab to transfer the Ansari’s custody to the UP Police within two weeks. UP government said in the plea that it was a conspiracy by the Ansari to remain in Punjab, by avoiding various trials in criminal cases registered against him. 

 

Mukhtar Ansari’s wife makes her way to SC seeking free and fair trial in all those criminal charges against him and wants the direction of SC to UP Police does not end up in a fake encounter like Vikas Dubey, she said.

Mukhtar Ansari is a Gangster turned politician of Uttar Pradesh. He is a record five times MLA from the Mau constituency under the BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) ticket. Mukhtar Ansari has also been supported by the Samajwadi Party. Ansari is believed to be a prime suspect in the BJP leader Krishnanand Rai’s murder case and he also had a massive conflict with his rival gangster Brijesh Singh’s.
