India records a massive surge in Covid-19 cases and deaths in the Second Wave of the Pandemic. Eyeing to that government is going to start the registration for the vaccine for all 18 plus citizens from April 28 on the CoWIN portal and Aarogya Setu App.

The administration has taken one more step forward to vaccinate more and more to reduce the mortality rate, especially of the young ones. According to the medical experts, it is believed that vaccination helps in reducing the mortality rate in the country as it is for developing the Antibodies of the virus.

The Central government under their vaccination expanded criteria decreased the age limit from 45 to 18 for eligibility for the vaccination. On April 19, the government decided to take this step to strengthen the vaccination drive all over the country due to a massive spike in the Covid-19 cases in the second wave of the Pandemic. The vaccination is scheduled to start from May 1 onwards and it is also believed that the largest proportion of the population lies under the 18-45 years slot.

The MyGovIndia portal confirms that registration for the vaccination will start from April 28th not from April 24th as many people got misguided due to the fake date published regarding the opening of the vaccination drive.

The vaccinations drive begun on January 16 a day after Makar Sakranti, then the government categorized the different slots to implement the vaccination drive all over the country. In this process, the vaccination criteria by age limit got expanded by each coming month.

Therefore, the vaccination is proved to be very helpful in decreasing the mortality rate and curing the person if he/she found positive. The step taken by the government is commendable for ensuring safety, but apart from the vaccinations, one needs to follow the prescribed guidelines of Covid-19 also.
