PUBG Lite to shut down globally from April 29, Huge Disappointment for PUBG lovers!

The low-end version of the PUBG battle royale game called Lite officially closes on April 29. PUBG Lite was launched in 2019 for mobile devices entering the entry level. The government banned PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite on September 2 last year.

News of the closure of PUBG Lite` was confirmed by engineer Krafton via a message on its official website.
"Thank you so much for the love and support from the amazing number of PUBG Lite fans who have been with us. During the difficult Covid-19 epidemic, we hope that PUBG Lite has been able to give our fans a great way to stay safe," said the engineer.

"Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close the service after much deliberation and it is time for our journey to end. We regret to inform you that the PUBG Lite service is scheduled to end on April 29, 2021 (UTC)," the company added.

PUBG Lite Facebook will be unlocked even after the completion of the game service until further notice.

"We would like to extend our heartfelt apologies and deep appreciation to everyone. We sincerely hope you enjoyed your time with us and please look forward to our future efforts," the developers said.

PUBG Lite was one of the most popular games in the early months of the epidemic. The game is prohibited under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act in India. PUBG Corporation later announced it was withdrawing its relationship with Tencent and would work with the Indian government to find a quick solution.

PUBG, with over 600 million downloads and 50 million active players worldwide, had nearly 33 million users in India.
