India records all-time highest spikes in the covid-19
cases and the number of deaths in last 24 hours whereas 2,61,500 people found
positive and 1510 deceased. A massive surge in the Second wave of Covid-19
results in the shortage of covid-19 beds, oxygen availability, and Remdesivir
whereas black marketing of Remdesivir also started due to acute panic situation after huge surge.
Central Government has written to CM’s and PSUs”s to
dedicate their hospital beds at a massive level to the Corona Virus-infected
people as the surge looks very dangerous. PM Modi late night also conducted a
meet on the current situation of the Pandemic and also urged the Sadhu’s of
Kumbh Mela to withdraw.
Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra are the states
which are heavily infected by the Pandemic. Maharashtra government alleges that
the central government is not cooperating with them and due to the lack of
medical resources (oxygen availability, Remdesivir, and ICU beds) they are
unable to tackle the Pandemic whereas the central government said that the
government is poised to tackle any situation as they are fully equipped with
the resources.
Meanwhile, the condition of Delhi is very critical as
Delhi records more than 24000 cases in the last 24 hours, and due to this
Delhi’s positivity rate increases from 24% to 30%. Today, North India is facing
a situation like a lockdown as most of the states imposed the curfew on the
weekends to prevent the spread of the Virus furthermore.
However, South India has also faced a huge surge in the
covid-19 cases as Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka are the major contributors
of covid-19 cases whereas in East India only West Bengal is witnessing the
spike which is majorly due to the election campaigning at the mass level.
Therefore, the medical experts and the government are urging people to follow the strict guidelines to protect themselves and others but due to the Cavalier behavior of the public, the country is facing a massive spike in cases. The massive surge in the Second wave seems very dangerous to mankind as the health facilities are in a declining stage.
