551 Oxygen Plants to be set up under PM-Cares fund in Government Hospitals

The Central government approved the allocation of around 551 oxygen generation plants all over the country in the government hospitals. The government has taken this step eyeing the massive deaths recorded due to oxygen deficiency in major parts of the country. The funds for this mass project come from the PM-Cares.


India is currently battling with two giants that are Covid-19 and the oxygen crisis that caused a huge number of deaths all over the country. This decision comes after PM Modi’s meeting regarding the covid-19 and oxygen crisis in the country. PM Modi directed to boost the oxygen supply in the country, as the demand reached the mass level.


PMO said in the statement that the approval of allocating the Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) medical oxygen plants is being funded by the PM-Cares fund under PM Modi’s guidance to boost the oxygen supply in the country. PM said in his statement that Make them functional as soon as possible.


Earlier, the opposition targeted the ruling party for taking the benefits of money donated in the PM-Cares for their party leaders and in election campaigning. This step by the Government of India cleared that these funds are only to help the needy ones and are only used for the countries emergency situation.


Therefore, this move by the government of India proved that oxygen deficiency will not last long in the country. The deaths causing due to lacking oxygen supply to the hospitals will receive obstacles.
