BJP MLA ARUN NARANG

BJP MLA Arun Narang thrashed with sticks while he was addressing a press conference to the protesting farmers at Malout in the Muktsar district of Punjab on Saturday. Arun Narang reached Malout with local leaders and they all were humiliated first while addressing and then so-called Protestors attacked him. MLA Arun Narang was there in a program that eyed farmer's issues. Saffron Party leaders are facing several challenges from protesting farmers from the day agitation started on three farm laws.
Muktsar police said that the MLA’s clothes were torn off, black ink was thrown at him and his vehicles. Police further added that they faced a tough time in rescuing him as they are surrounded by the protesting farmers after getting beaten black and blue, who are out of control then.

The video of the incident leaked and social media got flooded with opinions. MLA was rescued by the police to a safer place.
FIR registered on the case after the incident by the Muktsar Police on Saturday against seven named people and 200-300 unidentified people on the charges of attempt to murder, assault, or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, and rioting.
Punjab CM Amrinder Singh and Shiromani Akali Dal condemn the attack on BJP legislator whereas BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “It’s pathetic to see Congress celebrating attempts to lynch & strip people by so-called farmers in Congress-ruled states!! Imagine the outcry by the liberals, Bunty and Bubbly if the same would have happened to a Congress leader in BJP ruled state!”
