President Xi Jinping said China would never allow any foreign force to bully it, and anyone attempting to do so would “find themselves on a collision with a great wall of steel forged by over 1.4 billion people.”

China will not accept "sacred preaching to those who feel entitled to teach us," Xi said, according to his official translation of the Mandarin language. He did not name a particular country, amid growing tensions with the U.S.
Xi said China would never allow any foreign force to harass it, and anyone who tried to do so "could find himself in a huge metal wall made up of more than 1.4 billion people."
"One hundred years ago China was declining and shrinking in the eyes of the world," he said. "Today, the image that depicts the world is one of the world's most prosperous countries, moving forward with unstoppable vigor in regenerating life."
Looking ahead, Xi spoke of cooperating with “peace-loving nations,” forming a group and working to “regenerate the world.” He has also repeatedly mentioned "steps in the plans" to achieve the "second purpose of the century."
China's two-year goal of “building a prosperous society in every way” by 2021 and “building a prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally developed and harmonious modern world” by 2049, commemorates the 100th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
Xi's speech lasted just over an hour, focusing on the historical account of the successful role of the Chinese Communist Party in world history since the 19th century.
Xi officially became president in 2013 and also holds a senior political position as general secretary of the party's central committee. He completed the time limit in 2018, successfully allowing him to remain president for the rest of his life.
As of June 5, state media reported that there were 95.148 members of the Chinese Communist Party, which is 3.234 million since the end of 2019.(ads1)
Group membership is encouraged from an early age, although the joining process is very selective. Many senior positions, even in the private sector, often require group membership.
The official record recognizes July 1, 1921, as when the party was formed, although the exact date may have been slightly different. The gathering of delegates, including future leader Mao Zedong, came almost 30 years before the Chinese Communist Party of China fought Japan, then the Chinese Nationalist Party (Kuomintang), to become the ruling party of the People’s Republic of China.
