UK witnessed highest surge in the Covid-19 cases after Jan 22, Comparative to India

Covid-19

United Kingdom (UK) prepares to divest more of the epidemic on July 19, experts are concerned about the government's response to the growing cases of coronavirus (Covid-19). The Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AMRC) on Friday warned that "things will get worse before they get better." A coalition linking 23 colleges and monarchs in the UK and Ireland in a statement said the country was already in the throes of a third wave of coronavirus, indicating a significant increase in Covid-19 cases.

The AMRC said the National Health Service (NHS) is currently under unprecedented pressure for a combination of reasons, not all of which are still unclear. "People who live far from the NHS during the epidemic are now moving forward, some of whom have serious problems due to delays in seeking help," the stated.

On Friday, the UK reported more than 35,000 cases, the highest number in five months. On average, it has been recording some 410 million cases in the past week, one of the highest in the world per capita. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has marked the reopening of July 19 as "Freedom Day" but experts are concerned about the message.

Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard, chair of the AMRC, told BBC Radio 4's Today program that "there seems to be a misunderstanding that life will return to normal from then on [July 19], and that we can dismiss all precautionary measures, and frankly, that could be dangerous. ”

"We all want to make sure that the public is well aware that this epidemic is far from over and that by the 19th, we need a proper approach and be very vigilant to rest on our laurels," he further stated.

The AMRC said the country would see an increase in other respiratory infections and cases of Covid-19, adding to the pressure on the NHS as hospitals try to address the huge backlog in voluntary work built on the epidemic.

"It's like the worst winter in July," he said, urging members of the public to continue to exercise caution.

Therefore, the worsening of the Covid-19 in UK endangered many people across the country. The issue is that these countries belonging opposition and people started supporting collectively to the government to fight against destructive Pandemic but, contrary to that in India, People, opposition and Media started derailing the image of Government rather supporting them in these tough times.

UK accounts for 6.6 Crore people and witnessing around 35000 cases per day which is equal to 9-10 lakh per day in India. There are various factors which make UK's preparation against Pandemic stronger as their Health Infrastructure much more stronger as compared to the Indian one.
