BCCI released revised schedule of India tour of Sri Lanka, begins from July 18

Indian Cricket team

BCCI (Board of Council for Cricket in India) released the revised schedule of the India tour of Sri Lanka, which began on July 18 instead of July 13. This Sri Lanka tour will comprise 3 ODI's and followed by them 3 T20I's were also there. The BCCI and SLC collectively announce the new schedule for the tour.

The decision to postpone the tour is taken just after the health advisory report that two new Covid-19 cases were detected in the area. Following the health safety measures, this tour is postponed, BCCI stated in the statement published. The tour will be operational from July 18 and lasts till July 29.

Batsmen Shikhar Dhawan will lead the Indian team in the absence of skipper Virat Kohli. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar will be the Vice-captain of the team. The new schedule of ODI's will be on July 18, July 20, and July 23, followed by them. The 3 T20I's will be on July 25, July 27 and July 29.

However, the postponement of the schedule may also hamper the upcoming England tour of India, which will start from August 4. To resolve the problem, BCCI and SLC announced back to back games between India Sri Lanka.

Therefore, this upcoming series between India and Sri Lanka is meant to empower the future of Cricket which comprise all those youngsters like Kunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Surya Kumar Yadav (SKY), Ishan Kishan and many more. The experienced ones were ready to tackle with England in the test series.
