World Health Organization (WHO) official Tedros Ghebreyesus has called on China to co-operate with an ongoing investigation into the origins of Covid-19 during a revised process to further test the virus.
Dr Tedros made the remarks after taking part in a Group of Seven (G7) conference with a video conference on Saturday, reports The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). The WHO Director-General hoped that there would be better cooperation and transparency as the next phase of the investigation into the origin of the virus progressed.
"As you know we will need cooperation on the Chinese side," he said. "We need to be transparent in order to understand or know or discover the origin of the virus ... after the release of the report there has been a difficulty in sharing information, especially in raw data."

He said preparations for the investigator's next steps were underway and that the issue of the virus was being discussed by G7 leaders on Saturday, the WSJ reported.
