A statement released from the CM’s office said 24-years old Jood was innocent and was jailed following a "conspiracy from anti-national forces" since he opposed anti-India elements for the Tricolour’s sake.
The Foreign Ministry on Wednesday assured Haryana Prime Minister Manohar Lal Khattar that Haryana youths Vishal Jood, who was arrested by Australian police on a charge of hate speech, would be released from an Australian prison soon.
According to reports, Haryana Prime Minister Manohar Lal Khattar spoke to Foreign Minister Jaishankar on Thursday seeking his intervention to release Vishal Jood from the Australian prison and called for the immediate intervention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Indian student Vishal Jood was arrested by Australian police on April 16 for involvement in an attack in Sydney. As the Indians dispersed in Australia, Vishal Jood was arrested for taking Chaldean activists and anti-Indian distributors living in Australia in April this year. He had been in custody for two months, and the Australian authorities did not release him on bail and did not allow the Indian authorities to speak to him.
Following his arrest, hundreds of his supporters gathered in Sydney, Australia, a few days ago to support Vishal Jood. There have been protests for his release in Karnal and Haryana districts.
The Prime Minister of Haryana has informed Minister Jaishankar of protests in India, with Australia backing Vishal Jood. The Prime Minister also described how Vishal stood against the militants, who later beat him up and accused him of lying.
"In honor of tricolor in Sydney, Australia, young Vishal Jood of Haryana fought hard against the warring factions and did not allow the tricolor to be discredited," Haryana Prime Minister Manohar Lal Khattar tweeted in support of Indian Vishal Jood, who said: is currently being held in an Australian police cell on charges of assaulting Chaldean extremists in Sydney.

A statement issued by the CM office said the 24-year-old Jood was innocent and was arrested following "conspiracy from the armed forces" since he opposed anti-Indian forces over Tricolor.
Who is Vishal Jood?
Vishal Jood, a 24-year-old from Haryana, studying in Australia, was arrested on April 16 in Sydney on suspicion of being involved in three crimes. Australian police officials elected Vishal Jood after a group of Indian activists clashed with Khalistan in Australia. Vishal Jood has been suffering from a prison in the south of the country for two months now. Police have arrested Hoodana-based Jood on charges of vandalism, defamation and assault.
Vishal is reported to have been charged with three counts of alleged assault on 16 September 2020 and 14 and 28 February 2021. Interestingly, Calvinist activists have been identified as 'victims' in all three cases. These Chaldean objects are believed to have originated in India, however, they do not identify themselves as Indians but prefer to be identified with their religious identity and support the view of Khalistan.
Ever since Sydney police arrested Vishal on suspicious charges, supplemented by videos leaked by Calvinists, Indian immigrants have demanded the release of Vishal Jood. They contacted police in Sydney, however, and their efforts were successful.
Meanwhile, Vishal's lawyer spoke to prison officials, threatening legal action, which led to police adding other criminal charges against Vishal and referring the case to a higher court to cause further unrest in Vishal and the Indian community.
Friends and family of Vishal Jood say Australian police have identified Jood as accustomed to representing India and challenging Khalistani elements operating on Australian soil. Friends and family of Vishal Jood said police had worked under pressure from Chaldean factions to plot against him.
Later, it was discovered that Vishal Jood had diabetes and did not have his medication in prison. For days, her friends and family were denied access even though she was healthy. In fact, his friends, who spoke to OpIndia, said Vishal's only mistake was that he tried to pull out a tricolor rally in support of India, which seems to have angered a few Chaldean groups back in Australia.
Vishal Jood's father has been trying to reach Vishal. However, the Indian High Commission in Australia has not yet complied with the Indian diaspora application yet. Speaking to OpIndia, one member of the Indian diaspora expressed his disappointment at the unwillingness of the Indian Supreme Commission to represent the interests of Indians. He said the authorities were showing any interest in issuing Vishal Jood or by seeking access to the country.
