U.K. health minister quits after breaking Covid rules with affair
British Health Minister Matt Hancock has resigned after admitting to violating Covid-19's guidelines by kissing and embracing an assistant in his office, annoying colleagues and the public during his detention.
Downing Street on Saturday published Hancock's resignation letter to Boris Johnson and the Prime Minister's response, in which he said he was sorry to receive it.
"We have worked hard as a country to fight the epidemic," Hancock said in the letter. "The last thing I want is for my private life to be distracted and focus on something else that leads us to this problem."
