Murder FIR against Haryana Police, Boy Dies in custody in Faridabad

Naryh police in Haryana have registered a case against "11-12 police" Faridabad police officers over the death of a 24-year-old man, Junaid, following his family's complaint that he had succumbed to injuries sustained while under guard.

According to Nuh police, the FIR has registered a complaint lodged by Junaid's mother, Khatija, at the Bicchor regional police station.

"The FIR is registered under the IPC sections 302 (murder), 342 (illegal detention), and 34 (general purpose) against seven police officers by name and 4-5 other anonymous," said Narendra Bijarniya, Noah. SP.

Staff called to the FIR are Sub Inspector Rajesh, Sub Inspector Surjeet, Head Constable Naresh, Head Constable Dalbir, Assistant Sub Inspector Narendra, Assistant Sub Inspector Javed and Station House Officer Basant, all from the cyber station in Faridabad.

While Junaid's relatives suspect he was mistakenly picked up on May 31 and tortured in custody, Faridabad Police denied the allegations and linked his death to kidney disease.

According to Faridabad police, they had arrested Junaid, along with five others, in a case registered in September last year in connection with a Rs 80,000 scam.

“In an investigation into the matter, on May 31, six people were taken for questioning, one of whom, Shahid, was found to have been arrested. Five others, including Junaid, who was suffering from kidney disease, were released that night, ”said Dube Singh, a Faridabad police pro. In her complaint to the police, Junaid's mother said she was on her way home from a wedding in Rajasthan at 6pm on May 31, with five others, when "10-12" police officers from Faridabad Cyber ​​Police Station were traveling in three vehicles.

He said they took Junaid and his friends to the station, where he was released the next day after his family paid Rs 70,000 to police officers. Junaid's colleagues, he said, were also released after being paid the same amount.

His complaint also stated that Junaid and his associates had signs of injuries when they were released, and that police officers made Junaid and his brother, Irsad, who were to release him, "sign many empty papers".

The SHO threatened Junaid that if he took action against them or did his "medical" job, "he would put the whole family in the same position as Junaid", the complaint said.

When Junaid returned home, his mother said, telling him he had been beaten in the legs and body. He said the family had seen a local doctor but Junaid's condition continued to worsen. On June 11, he was taken to the CHC in Punhana for his examination, after his family tried to take him to a large center in Hodal because his condition was getting worse, the complaint said.

"Before arriving at the hospital, due to injuries sustained by Faridabad police, Junaid died," the complaint said. Nuh police officials say no injuries were found in the body.
