Maharashtra CM Uddhav to meet PM Modi, over Maratha reservation

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will meet Prime minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Tuesday to discuss a range of issues which including  Maratha Reservation and Cyclone Yaas, the home minister Dilip Patil said on Monday. "A Maharashtra government delegation, led by Uddhav Thackeray and his Deputy Ajit Pawar will meet Prime minister Modi in Delhi this morning. They will discuss issues such as the condition, Language, OBC, tickets, and hurricane relief, " Dilipa Patila stated. 

Earlier, last month Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray wrote to Prime minister Modi in a letter asking him to take action in order to explain the Maratha communities in the state, the Socially and Educationally Backward (SEBC) in order to make it possible for them to be eligible for reservation in education and training, and public information. 

Uddhav Thackeray to travel to the capital of the country, was held on 31 May in the editorial published in the Shiv Sena's mouthpiece  Saaman, stated that in Delhi the battle for attaining the Maratha Reservation would be fought . It is observed in the Apex Court that only central Government has the authority to make such a law regarding the reservation policy.

On Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader of the Sambhajiraj Chhatrapati announced that the they would held the agitation for availing the reservation for the Maratha Community over the jobs and education, the community is going to start the agitation at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Memorial at Kolhapur in Maharashtra on 16 June.
