Karnataka: Announced relief package for BPL families which lost their family members to Covid

Karnataka Chief Minister B S. Yediyurappa on Monday said that families Below Poverty Line (BPL) who have lost their earnings or adult earning family members from the the Pandemic (Covid-19) will receive a relief package of 1 lakh Rupees, reported. 

"Due to Covid-19, many families are in trouble. Keeping this in mind, we have decided to give ₹1 lakh to each of such members of BPL families which lost their adult members," he stated, add to this the benefits of this package, and it reaches about 25,000-30,000 families in need. The initiative will cost the state between 250 and 300 crore Rupees, CM Yediyurappa stated. 

So far, 32,913 people reported dead due to disastrous Covid-19 pandemic, in Karnataka, up to and including Sunday. This is due to 125 deaths and 7,810 new cases of the virus in last 24 hours on Thursday, bringing the total infection rate to 27.65 lakhs, reported by the state's health department. 

Currently, there are 1,80,835 active cases of Covid-19 in Karnataka, and the total recovered patients' tolls for 25,515,365 and adding to that 18,648 people were declared free of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Friday, data from the Ministry of Health showed.

Meanwhile, the government announced that it will ease its Covid-19 restrictions imposed in terms of lockdown in all 11 districts on June 14. The existing lock is enabled, and the lines will still be located in these areas, as they have a high level of positive testing. Areas of Chikkamagaluru, Davangere, Mysuru, Hasan, Chamarajanagara, Mandya, Dakshina Kannada, Bangalore, Instagram, Belagavi and Kodagu. 

Therefore, the Karnataka state government is continuously approaching towards the steps to secure its people from the Covid-19 Pandemic and its complications.
