Antilia bomb: Former Mumbai Police officer Pradeep Sharma arrested in Antilia bomb case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested former Mumbai police officer Gadep Sharma on a charge of intimidating an Antilia bomb after a morning raid on his residence. NIA officials say Sharma, who was also questioned earlier in the day, had a role to play in the plot.

During the raid, which lasted for about four hours between 6.45am and 10.45am, NIA officials seized a printer, computer and laptop at the home of Gadep Sharma. About seven to eight employees from the organization, including police chief Vikram Khalate, were present at the time of the attack. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was re-assigned to the officer's residence in Andheri, Mumbai.
