New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' will interact with students on Friday through social media and answer questions related to class 10 and 12 board exams, which have been canceled in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nishank, who is at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) who is undergoing treatment for post-Covid complications, said students have been sending him messages with their questions and apprehensions.
“Dear students, I am constantly receiving a lot of your messages and information. Also, you have expressed concern about my health. For this, I would like to thank you all and say that I am feeling well now.

"Some of your apprehensions are also expressed in your messages. But was unable to communicate with you due to this ongoing treatment in the hospital. If you have any other query related to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations, you can also send me on Twitter, Facebook, or by mail," he said in a series of tweets.
The Union Minister told that he will answer the questions of the students through social media on June 25 at 4 pm.
Both class 10 and 12 exams were canceled by CBSE in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The board has announced its alternative evaluation policy for both categories.
While schools have been asked to submit class 10 marks by June 30, the deadline for schools to compile class 12 marks is July 15.
As per the policy of class 12 results, as decided by the 13-member panel constituted by the board, the theory paper evaluation formula will be given 30 percent weightage for class 10 marks, 30 percent for class 11 marks, and 40 percent weightage. Percentage of class 12 marks obtained in Unit Tests/ Mid-term/ Pre-Board examinations.
The CBSE scheme further elaborated that for class 10, 30 percent marks will be taken based on the average theory component of the best three performing subjects out of the main five subjects.
As per the declared evaluation criteria for class 10 students, 20 marks for each subject will be there for internal assessment like each year, 80 marks will be calculated based on the performance of the students in various tests or examinations throughout the year.
