The Supreme Court's oxygen research team submitted a report stating that the Delhi government exaggerated its oxygen four times over the second wave of COVID-19.

The panel, led by AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria, included Delhi Governor General Home Affairs Bhupinder Bhalla, Max Health Director Dr Sandeep Buddhiraja and Union Secretary Jal Shakti Department Joint Secretary Subodh Yadav.

"The Delhi government exaggerated the need for oxygen in the city more than four times during April 25-May 10, when the second wave of COVID erupted," the report said, adding that the supply of excess oxygen in Delhi could pose a problem for its supply in the provinces. -12 with high charges.

"There has been a major conflict (approximately four times) in the actual oxygen consumption demanded by the Delhi government (1,140MT) as it is about four times higher than the recommended bed use (289 MT)," said an interim report by the High Court's oxygen research team.

The oxygen consumption rate in Delhi ranged from 284 to 372 MT, the report said, adding that "excess oxygen supply has affected other provinces in need of oxygen".

It also said that four Delhi hospitals wanted more use of oxygen with fewer beds.

The report states that Singhal Hospital, Aruna Asif Ali Hospital, ESIC Model Hospital and Liferay Hospital "demanded the maximum use of oxygen in very few beds and the allegations appeared to be erroneous, leading to misinformation and high oxygen demand throughout Delhi." .

The Petroleum and Oxygen Safety Organization (PESO) told a small group that Delhi had high levels of oxygen, affecting the supply of liquid air (LMO) in some provinces and held that if too much oxygen was stored in Delhi, it could lead to a national crisis.
