Around 14 J&K leaders invited by Centre for PM meeting, to review J&K situation

PM Narendra Modi is set to chair a meeting on Jammu and Kashmir, India on the 24th of June and the around 14 leaders, such as former chief ministers of the old version, and have also been invited. 

The four former chief Ministers Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah of the National Conference (NC), a senior leader of the Ghulam Nabi Azad from Congress, and the chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti. The other ministers are in the list, Congress leader Tara Chand, People Conference leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig and BJP leaders, Nirmal Singh and Kavinder Gupta. 

In addition, the Center invited the leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP), head Altaf Bukhari, People Conference prominent leader Sajjad Lone, Congress, head of the J-K-HA, Me, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader of Ravindar Raina and Panther Party (PP) leader, Bhim Singh. 

A number of ministers are also expected to attend the meeting, including that of Union home Minister Amit Shah.

The much-anticipated meeting was the first event to be held since 2019, when the Centre announced the abolition of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcation of state into union territories. 

Meanwhile, a reports stated that ' Umar Abdullah will hold consultations within the party in the next couple of days. The PDP belonging Political Affairs Committee will meet on Sunday to decide on the deal. 

On last Friday, HM Amit Shah chaired a high level security meet in New Delhi with NSA Ajit Doval, CRPF's CEO Kuldeep Singh  and RAW Chief Samant Kumar Goel. 

The meeting appears to be part of the preparations for the all-party meeting headed by PM Narendra Modi, even though the development of these issues and the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir on the agenda.

Therefore, this high level meet will be conducting after 2 years of the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A from the state of J&K. This totally reflects that Kashmir valley is finally approaching towards the path of peace.
