New Delhi: As a part of Fit India Movement, Sports Authority of India has announced Fit India Quiz for school students.
The quiz will be conducted in four rounds - school, preparatory, state and national - with over Rs 3 crore in prize money for both schools and participants. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked the affiliated schools for maximum participation.
The registration for the quiz will start from 1st July and end on 31st July.
The preliminary round, which will be conducted online by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is scheduled for September 4. The state round will be held in October and the national round in November.
The national round consists of quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. The national champion team will get Rs 2,50,000 in prize money and their school Rs 25 lakh.
The first runner-up team will get Rs 1,50,000 and the school will get Rs 15 lakh. Similarly, the second runner team will get Rs 1 lakh and the school will get Rs 10 lakh.
There will also be cash prizes for the teams and their schools securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the State Round and those who qualify for the State Round by clearing the Preliminary or NTA Round.
