New Delhi, Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Reliance Industries has announced that it will provide financial assistance to the families of its employees who lost their lives due to corona infection.
The family of the deceased employee will continue to get salary for the next 5 years.
This salary will be equal to the last salary of the employee. Apart from this, Reliance Industries has also announced that it will help the children of employees who died of coronavirus to study till graduation.
Reliance said in a statement that under the 'Reliance Family Support and Welfare Scheme', the entire cost of tuition fees, hostel accommodation and books of all the children of the employee up to the degree of graduation in any institution in India will be fully covered.
The company will also bear 100% of the insurance premium for hospitalization of the deceased employee's spouse, parents and children.
In a statement signed by Reliance Industries chairperson Mukesh Ambani and Reliance Foundation, it was said that those employees of Reliance Industries who are corona infected or any member of their family has been caught by corona, then they will be able to make full physical and mental recovery.

"Dear Colleagues... We have come together so far as a team on the strength of our solidarity and with an ownership mindset that will sustain this adversity until we are victorious," the statement said. "
In a second statement, Reliance said that it will also do family support and welfare programs for off-role employees.
Reliance Foundation Chairman Nita Ambani has said that the company will make a one-time payment of Rs 10 lakh to the nominees of its off-roll employees who die of COVID-19.
