WhatsApp has suffered a major setback due to user concerns that the data was shared with the parent company Facebook.

WhatsApp instant messaging application says it will not delete accounts of users who will receive its controversial police privacy update on the last day of May 15

Following a major upheaval over the new renewal of its privacy policy, a company owned by Facebook in January announced that it was postponing the release of the policy by three months to May 15 in defiance of the February 8 deadline.

“No accounts will be deleted on May 15 due to this update and no one in India will lose the functionality of WhatsApp. We will follow the reminders to the people in the next few weeks, ”a WhatsApp spokesperson said in an email.

The company has not set a new policy implementation date from now on.

The speaker added that the company had spent the past few months working to clear up confusion and misinformation. "While most users who have received the new terms of service have embraced it, we are grateful that some people have not had the opportunity to do so yet," a spokesman for the organization said.
