China says U.S. warship illegally enters its territory in S. China Sea
China said on Thursday a U.S. warship had illegally entered its waters in the South China Sea, the latest salvo in a bilateral dispute over Beijing's busy watersheds.
In a statement, the South Theater Command of the Chinese military said Curtis Wilbur entered the waters near the Paracel Islands without permission, adding that ships and their planes were following a U.S. ship.
It also added that China opposes the U.S. action, which violated its sovereignty and disrupted regional peace and stability.
The Fact is that china claims almost whole south china sea as its own private territory, while global community opposes the claim.
According to USA it enters the south china sea, under freedom to navigate the sea, which is open to all.
This dispute is ,more of a foreign policy conflict than a military aggression as USA believes in the idea of "Freedom to navigate", where as china sees this idea as infringement of its borders, even in the matter of disputed sea.
