Sonia Gandhi writes to PM Modi over the welfare of Orphan Children, caused due to Covid19

Congress spokeswoman Sonia Gandhi on Thursday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide free education to children, both who are earning and succumbs due to Covid-19 . She proposed Navodaya Vidyalayas inland to the country on purpose.

In a letter to PM Modi, Gandhi said the nation owes such children the opportunity to give them "a secure future". Gandhi's letter comes just days after Congress leader G S Bali of Himachal Pradesh announced that the party would adopt all the orphans caused due to the epidemic in the Kangra region.

Gandhi also recalled that the making of Navodaya Vidyalayas nationwide was her husband and the legacy of the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. It was his ambition to make quality modern education accessible and accessible to talented children, especially those from rural areas, she said in the statement.

Gandhi said as India is currently battles with the second wave of Covid-19 Pandemic, thousands of children have lost both of the parents and they have no one to take care of them. She further added that some are in a situation where a single parent is failing to provide sufficient care for them through financially and mentally.

Therefore, the country is suffering through the pandemic and in these tough times many children got into the stage of orphan and they really need somebody to care for their better future. Here, the government needs to focus on these orphan children to make their career brighter by providing education and support. The government need to train by giving moral support too so that they can uplift the country in future.
