Oxygen Plants to set up in all the 86 Railway Covid-19 Hospitals

Indian Railway is all set to set up the oxygen plants in all the 86 Railway Hospitals of the country to safeguard the population from the oxygen shortage. It had been seen in recent past several days that India is severely affected by the oxygen shortage.

The reports said that around 4 plants have already become functional; the 52 have been sanctioned whereas 30 plants are under different stages, confirmed by the Ministry of Railway. It is also believed that the increase in the capacity of medical infrastructure in the field of Railway can even help in treating the medical emergencies in the country.
 
“General Managers have been delegated further power, up to Rs 2 Crores in each case for sanctioning Oxygen Generation Plants under M&P vide Rly Bd letter no 2020/F(X)II/PW/3/Pt dated 4.5.21,” said in the statement published.
 
Meanwhile, the country marks a sudden increase in the number of Covid-19 beds as numbers increased from 2539 to 6972 whereas ICU beds in the Covid19 Hospitals increased from 273 to 573 beds. These figures are quite impressive as the country is growing after a sudden blow to health infrastructure received by the Pandemic. 

Therefore, the country seems progressive in each field as the nation is continuously approaching towards strengthening the medical infrastructure after a sudden blow during the ongoing second wave of the Pandemic. The country’s high command is also focusing a lot on the betterment and efficient Oxygen availability for the country.
