New Delhi: To counter the second wave of COVID-19, the Government of India has so far dispatched 10,796 oxygen concentrations, 12,269 oxygen cylinders, 19 oxygen production plants, 6,497 ventilators / BI-PAPs, and about 4.2 lakh Remdesivir vials to various states. An official press release stated that these items were distributed between April 27 and May 13 this year. This cell started functioning on 26 April. A standard operating procedure has been formulated and implemented by the Ministry of Health from 2 May.
